As we continue to scale our presence across brick-and-mortar and digital platforms, we’re seeking a highly experienced Inventory Control Manager with a strong background in fashion merchandising and apparel logistics. This role is critical in optimizing our inventory strategies, ensuring seamless coordination between design, buying, and distribution teams to support product flow, seasonal transitions, and market demand across all retail and e-commerce channels.

Position Overview

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. This individual will lead the inventory control team, develop robust processes, coach and mentor team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain optimal stock levels across our supply chain.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Process Management

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and maximize ROI.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and replenishment cycles across warehouse, retail locations, and online platforms.
  • Lead periodic and annual physical inventory counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with buying, merchandising, and logistics teams to forecast demand and consistently meet the needs of the business.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of inventory associates.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations, identifying development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead training sessions on inventory systems and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and Retail teams to align inventory strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for system integrations and inventory-related initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in the fashion or retail sector.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management and POS systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
